Bang Sung Hoon, the lead actor from the 2017 TV series My Secret Romance, is set to charm audiences on October 6 in Abu Dhabi, and the best seats are selling like hotcakes!
Thanks to an initiative by enthusiast Mariam Mohamed Al Shehhi, Event Manager at The Maryam Studio, the UAE made it to the actor's tour list, which includes stops in the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.
According to Mariam, Arab fans, especially those in the UAE, are fond of Korean culture and entertainment, which explains the spike in celebrity visits in the past years, with Sung Hoon being the latest heartthrob.
In the rom-com drama, he plays the role of Cha Jin Wook, a suave wealthy son who reunites with his summer fling three years after she leaves him in an embarrassing predicament. Upon meeting, they embark on a funny cat-and-mouse chase, while denying their feelings for one another.
The actor is expected to make fans swoon with his stage persona, featuring a show of music, DJ'ing, choreographed dances, and a host interactive game and chat sessions.
Mariam advises fans to dress comfortably, and that they are more than welcome to bring gifts for the actor. "We will collect the gifts for Sung Hoon before the show starts. Just come with a big smile and enjoy," she says.
